In 1957 started a small group of fishing enthusiasts club and all these years has been the lake available to the public. Now 50 years later is now run by the club in the samespirit. At first it was allowed only residents of urban Bengtsfors to be members but over the years has increased the geographical spread. We can be proud to have fishing aswell received beyond our municipal boundary. The club leases the three waters, LysetIrons, Big Iron and Hagtjärn. Trout are planted regularly in all the ponds. Hagtjärn hasalso over the years become a lake with very large perch. It is not uncommon to catchweighing over a kilo.
We would like to mention that the prerequisite for us to run our club is that everyone(young and old) to respect the rules that we have. In a step to make the checks easierthen a plastic sleeve that comes with fishing license and must be visibly displayed bythe fish. This applies to both members and those who solve the daily or weekly passes.We also have more officers who will control the lake.
